Humberto Flores Jáuregui
Director
Director, editor y post productor mexicano. Estudió Comunicación y Artes Audiovisuales en el ITESO, en Guadalajara, Jalisco. Su cortometraje Cinco de junio (2021) recibió una Mención Especial en el 19º Festival Internacional de Cine de Morelia (FICM) y tuvo su estreno norteamericano en el Tribeca Film Festival 2022. En 2023, fue seleccionado en el Creator’s Lab de Playlab Films, donde realizó David (Por Ahora) (2024) bajo la tutela del cineasta tailandés Apichatpong Weerasethakul. Este proyecto estrenó en el 22º FICM y participó en festivales como True / False Film Fest 2025.
Su siguiente trabajo, Una Torreta En Llamas (2025), tuvo su estreno internacional como parte de la Competencia Iberoamericana del 53° Festival Internacional de Cine de Huesca, en España, y estrenó en México en el 40° Festival Internacional de Cine de Guadalajara (FICG). Actualmente desarrolla su primer largometraje de ficción — Manuel (o El Vacío), seleccionado en el Taller de Líneas Argumentales de Cine Qua Non Lab en 2025.
Como editor, ha trabajado en proyectos de ficción y documental exhibidos en festivales como la Semana Internacional de Cine de Valladolid (SEMINCI), BFI Flare, DocsMX, FICG y FICM. Se especializa en procesos de post producción, pero su pasión está en la búsqueda de narrativas nuevas dentro del panorama audiovisual actual.

He studied Communication and Audiovisual Arts at ITESO in Guadalajara, Jalisco. His short film Cinco de junio (2021) received a Special Mention at the 19th Morelia International Film Festival (FICM) and made its North American premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival 2022. In 2023, he was selected for the Creator’s Lab at Playlab Films, where he created David (Por Ahora) (2024) under the mentorship of Thai filmmaker Apichatpong Weerasethakul. That project premiered at the 22nd FICM and screened at festivals such as the True/False Film Fest 2025.
His next film, Una Torreta En Llamas (2025), had its international debut in the Ibero-American Competition of the 53rd Huesca International Film Festival in Spain, and its Mexican premiere at the 40th Guadalajara International Film Festival (FICG). He is currently developing his first fiction feature—Manuel (or El Vacío)—which was selected for the Storylines Workshop at Cine Qua Non Lab in 2025.
As an editor, he has worked on both fiction and documentary films exhibited at festivals including the Valladolid International Film Festival (SEMINCI), BFI Flare, DocsMX, FICG, and FICM. He specializes in post-production processes, but his passion lies in discovering new narratives within today’s audiovisual landscape.
